Programs

Parents
We strive to provide resources and opportunities for parents to network and also gain insight on parental topics. Through our network events, we provide educational services including but not limited to financial awareness, prioritizing, stress relief, vision developing, family relationship building, self-value, work-life balance, and health.
A Village of Wings believes that parenthood is a journey to be recognized. We share stories and create videos that recognize parenthood in Metro Detroit.
Diary of A Mother: Held in May, brings mothers of all ages and backgrounds together to be empowered, informed and connected to various resources in the community.
Real Fathers, Real Men: Hosted in June, this events brings fathers of all ages and backgrounds to unite, uplift and gain information for their journey through fatherhood.
Youth
Our youth engagement is an opportunity for youth to develop networking and team-building skills as they actively engage with one another and the community. A VOW supports the youth through a specialized program called Detroit Against Bullying that promotes bullying awareness and encourages emotional intelligence. In addition, self-value, respect and trust are taught throughout the program. At the conclusion of the program, the youth puts on fashion show incorporating what they learned through the program with local entrepreneurs in the community.
Community
It takes a village to truly be a village. We encourage volunteering in the community by providing opportunities for those to give back through partnered events with other non-profits, local parks, and shelters. Our partnerships include but not limited to addressing social opportunities with homelessness, human trafficking, elderly care, and foster children.
A Village of Wings believes it is important to have family fun events to enjoy the festivities of life, the people around you and to encourage connections that will last a lifetime through community service.
